Storm Dennis (the menace) wreaked havoc with this weeks competitions with only the Thursday society going ahead. The Thursday Society yet again proved to have the hardiest members at the club and it was the hardiest of them all who came out on top in this weeks competition. Michael Gallagher took home the bragging rights with 30 points over 14 holes, beating Kieth Shields by 1 point who took second place over Paul Doherty on a break of tie.

On Sunday, there was a good turn out for the Captains Drive in where the ladies were due to take on the he gents for the Miller Shield, but this was sadly postponed to a later date due to the poor conditions. Nevertheless, there was a good atmosphere in the club house with soup and delicious breads on offer as well as an impromptu quiz. Best of luck to this years Captains Paul O'Hea and Anne Coyle as well as incoming President Jimmy McFadden and Lady President Margaret McLaren.
