Congratulations to the NWGC Ladies winter league team who secured this years league. Having played Ballyliffin, Redcastle and Greencastle over the winter month the adies met our nearest rivals Buncrana Golf Club in the final on Friday. Northwest won the final 3 and a 1/2 to a 1/2 to become the 2019/2020 winter league champions. Congratulations, setting the bar high as usual.
The ladies of the North West Golf Club season started on Wednesday 3rd March with their annual “Bring and Win” competition. The weather was much improved on recent weeks and over 20 ladies took to the links for the first competition of the year. The winner was Augusta Neff. Aileen McGlynn in second spot and Bernie Barr third. Congratulations ladies. Everyone was a winner on the day as there were prizes for everyone who played. Next week’s competition is teams of three over thirteen holes with two scores to count.
