Storms, Sunshine and the Season Opener

It's been a tough week for the links and a busy one for the greenstaff, trying to get the course prepared for the weekend. Storm Gareth had caused some extra work for the team, having to clean up debris washed onto the course and Flush out sea spray from the putting surfaces.

After a Roll, holes changed and bunkers raked this morning, all is good going into the weekend.

New Flags out for the weekend, Shamrock Open Competition Sponsored by Hegartys of Buncrana.

The 5th tee getting turfed.

A decision by Council to make the Maintenance Compound OB has been taken (this comes into play to the right of hole 7th). This area is now out of bounds.

Most of the bunkers and the 4th hole will be back in play for the Shamrock Open and will be a qualifying Competition. The new bunkers on the 10th unfortunately are not ready to be opened yet.

Hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy your golf and we hope the weather picks up a little.

Thanks for reading!
