Some fantastic scoring in last weeks Tuesday Open. With a score that would normally win most competitions James McHugh pipped Joe McGinley on a break of tie for second place. First place goes to John McCourt with a magnificent score of 43 points. John won with 2 birdies and 10 pars beating James McHugh by 3 points. Great round John. Well done.

Played over 14 holes we again seen some great scores in the Thursday society with a tight finish. Dudley Coyle must have thought that he had won the day with a magnificent 32 points but this was bettered by Edward Lynch on 33 who was in turn beat by another point by Stephen Stewart snr with 34 points. Stephen had 1 birdie and 5 pars on the day and is looking good for another few wins coming into the season openers.

A break of tie was needed to separate 2nd and 3rd with Declan McGowan winning out over Gerard Harkin both on 28 points. Again a score that would normally win most 13 hole competitions, but not to be as Gerard Kelly prevailed with a two point victory ending the round on 30 points after 1 birdie and 6 pars. Well done Gerard.

Playing partners Paul Craig and Kealon Mallon had a hard thought out 9 holes during the AGM sweep with Paul prevailing on a break of tie with 4 pars on the day. Bragging rights on paper at least for Paul this time around. Coming in third with a admirable score of 19 points was Liam Barrett. Who knows how this one would have panned out over 18 holes. Well done to all involved.
